Little bast ard SPIT on me !!

i am also a parent btw.. my son is a junior in HS, lives with his mom about an hour away.. we see each other a lot..

parenting is the hardest thing i do.. so, respect to anyone trying to be a good one..

I had great parents who cared and taught me everything they could about how to be safe and a good individual. In High School and Middle School my parents couldnt stop me from skipping class or smoking pot. Honestly, once you cross over into middle school your parents lose most control over you. You cannot stop a child from rebelling and each kid is going to do it in there own way at there own time. All you can do as a parent at that point is hope the rebellious child picked up some of the stuff you taught them.

If your parents knew you were doing such things and didn't make you suffer the consequences thats one thing.

Parents are not stupid, they know what is going on. If you are smoking pot, they know... they just do not have the evidence in hand to incriminate you.

That's how my parents worked anyways. Once evidence had surfaced, I went down... way down. I rarely got away with stuff. :(

I got caught smoking pot and my dad went to rip my head off. My mother who has been a nurse her whole life said to my dad "its no big deal, its not even bad for him". LOL. Of course at that time I didnt have my citizenship so my dad brought up the ever so important "its illegal and he will be deported". After that conversation I never heard anymore on the subject. My parents also pounded in my head about not smoking cigarettes and peer pressure still got me. I did a project in elem school about the effects of tobacco on the lungs and yet I still smoke. Some kids are just stupid and I have no problem admitting I was one of them. No matter what my parents did extra I would have been the same person.

lmao.. yeah man, it's all about who's "fault" it is.. that's what equals responsibility..

Silly me. I am a results oriented guy. I don't care if the school/government accepts responsibility/blame for something going wrong. That is after the fact and the blame is toothless anyhow. The upfront question is who can actually make a difference? The answer is always the same: only the parent can.

Your statement contradicts itself. On the one hand your parents only talked to you once about something important.... and on the other hand you say no matter what your parents did you would have been the same.

I always told my sons that doing the right thing was a test of wills and that I would never give up. I just simply never gave up. I also kept them involved in something from the time they got up to the time they went to bed.

Maybe what you thought was being 'pounded' really wasn't.

If you would like to question the way my parents raised me you can nicely go fuck yourself. I tried being reasonable with you by saying that I dislike the way you talk down to people but obviously you just wont let it rest. I am sure you are doing a great job raising your children in the woods, good luck with that.

i hope, dysfunk, that your post is not sarcasm in response to what you thought a sarcastic post.. cause i was being sincere.. all i hear over the course of my day is who's "fault" it is.. "he hit me so i hit him, it's his fault." "my kid didn't learn his math, and you're the teacher, so it's your fault".. never mind that you bring the kid late 3 days out of 5 and he misses half the math lesson.. it's my fault..

It will take him awhile to respond he is teaching his sons how to kill defenseless animals.

I don't think he was questioning how your parents raised you..

Actually he wasnt really doing either, just trying to ruffle my feathers. I asked him nicely to leave me out of his post's yet he continues to try to pull the high and mighty act. My mother not caring about me smoking pot because of the lack of harm it causes has nothing to do with what I was talking about when I said "pounded". Which was referring to cigarettes.

Ha ha, yeah it's funny how you repeatedly make generalizations that offend me. What's strange though is how I continually find myself carefully wording and "sugar coating" responses to you on serious matters because in the past you've freaked out whenever someone has come close to offending you or anything close to you.

You getting offended over me saying I wouldnt want a gun in a class of 30 children because I dont know if the gun holder is of stable mind is a little different. But you go right ahead and join on in.
