You actually couldn't be more wrong. 40-49 is fucking hardcore. It's people who now have enough money and time to race. Even more so in marathons. I just got lucky cause it was a small race. That's cause you're in the senior citizens group now

There’s a 96 year old woman that set a record for her age group in the Ottawa Race weekend 5k a few days ago, don’t give up hope!I've never placed before in a race, must be a weird fluke.
@APRIL is only 95 tho. There’s a 96 year old woman that set a record for her age group in the Ottawa Race weekend 5k a few days ago, don’t give up hope!
I ran 3 on Friday, then 4.5 on Saturday. Then I wanted to die. It's so hot here.I'm going to have to reevaluate my exercise schedule. Ran 5 miles this morning, then had to go do another mile at dryland with the kids' swim team.
Now I'm tired.
At 5AM, when I run the 5 miler, it's only barely light. The additional mile is around 9AM, but it's at the very base of the mountains, so the sun is barely peeking there too right now.I ran 3 on Friday, then 4.5 on Saturday. Then I wanted to die. It's so hot here.
What did you do?I'm back running FINALLY. Feels good to move again.
BTW, I think because I've been running in so much heat this summer, my resting heart rate has dropped from like 59 to 52.
Assuming you don't die running with a 123F heat index, turns out its good for you!Probably.
Fuck. Out for a year? Was this by doctors orders?Hurt my knee last fall.
