Advice The Home Improvement/Automation Thread

Not worried about the efficiency part, that's fine. In the middle of the humid summer, the taps AND the 2x8s sweat. I'd like to stop that.
The R-value talk threw me off, I guess.

The taps are always gonna sweat, though. May be able to get the wood to not, but the taps are directly attached to the cold.
 
Yep, more insulation, but I'm limited to something like 1.5" of insulation. So I need it to be as efficient as possible, while still being able to possibly get wet.
You know, if you knew someone that was good with CAD software you could probably sit down with them and design a replacement for the wood that was made of a metal or HDPE skin and insulation inside or something like that...

Who knows, you might even be able to market it

I've no idea how to do that. Also, sheet metal isn't too sturdy. I need to mount taps to it that drunk people can't rip off.
I dunno, with a few bends in it, it stiffens up considerably. Plus if you fill it up with spray foam, it'll be at least as strong as the existing freezer.
