Like they could have made the legs longer to make it less tippy. Or put a 4th leg on it, I dunno. Or at least put some sort of "this shit is gonna blow over like twice a week if it's out in the open with typical weather because the stock tripod is useless, go to starlink.com and buy something proper, or peg down or weigh down the legs" note in the box.

That being said, the engineering inside the dish is fuckin' beautiful, the v3 dish has better beamforming hardware in it which got rid of the need to put it on a motorized mount. I haven't done RF design proper in 12 years but it's engineering porn to me.

I dunno. I just design shit for a living and try to give a fuck about what I do, try to get all the small details right and keep customers happy. And some shit just annoys me.

They have, I follow the ua ministry of defense on couple platforms. They also repaired a lot of the cell phone infrastructure recently. Ukraine isn't just some sloppy third world country they are really bringing it to the Russians.

Also at the end of that article is a retraction.

Not really he's definitely weird but he's got money to get stuff done and it seems like he's really invested in sci-fi shit which is cool with me.

Ford or any of the big three could've made an electric car but they didn't. Like I said via Sat and a couple other companies have always offered sat uplinks but they never advertise or anything.

Two of the big three have built EVs. They aren't selling. Most of the european manufacturers have EVs and they are not selling in numbers that they thought they would. The entire automotive industry is readjusting their goals on EVs as they are not what the average consumer wants. The average customer is more than happy to buy hybrids, but even those mostly fall short of what would best work for the average person.

Again. Musk got their first. Put out a mediocre product, and called it good. Craftsmanship of the product, overall visual design of it, everything about them is, and has been, mediocre. He just found a way to sell them.
The one solid thing he has from the EV venture is the supercharger network. That will last beyond anything else.

Yeah Ive heard the starlink stuff is pretty decent performance wise (once you mount the dish :p )
Good luck if you ever need customer support tho, since there basically is none

I can't speak to the craftsmanship od the Tesla all I know is even minor repairs are super pricey.

Yes marketing was good. That's important actually. Apple iPods.werent the first but they had good advertising.

Musk, who is a literally piece of walking dog shit in the shape of a human, has changed so many industries and continues to do so. Believe me, I wish it was someone else too, but it isn't. I just don't get so upset about it.
