I'll have to decide whether or not to keep the SATA blu-ray drive or not.
Unless I can come up with a clean way to reuse the USB to SATA adapters from the external drives I've gutted.
Or I have to cram the 8-port IBM controller I have into it and hope it'll work ok.

welp, amazon to the rescue, I'll have 16gb of DDR4 by end of day tomorrow.
So, biggliest PITA about this build so far
This god damned thing. I had no idea how fucking big it was. For reference, that plate at the bottom is what connects to the CPU. The rest of the thing stands up and takes up all the space from MB to the case. So different than CPU fans from the past I've dealt with where they just lay flat on the CPU. I shouldn't just went water cooled. Not to mention, the hardware to get it to mount to the MB.. I've hard easier times with a rubics cube.

I had one of those installed on the old motherboard in that HTPC case I'm still using.
Never occurred to me that it was too tall.

I was going to do that, and just glue aluminum foil onto the ends to get the extra pins.
