What, an alsatian????
I've got a shiny beacon for you.
Polished it just this morning.
With steel wool and some toothpaste.
Oh, you can spell. That home learning degree will put you in fantastic stead for a career as a receptionist.
Stop being so condescending in a thread about something you do not have, a life experience you do not have and a diploma you do not have. Only you're rubbishing a degree here, despite now being in a position where you are unable to go to Univ full time and your only option is part time study through noones fault but your own.
If you want to try and bullshit me, go ahead. The only people who go to the OU are people who have fucked up in the normal route of education. You knew better when you were 16, now you have dreadlocks, work full time in the service sector and are scrambling to get a p/t degree in which the prerequisite is a GCSE in English. Which is good, in a way, but certainly doesn't qualify you in any way shape or form to try and condescend to the people who have actually taken time out of their lives to stick to something, and stay dedicated to a path they wish to follow.
You can go ahead and mouth off to me because I'm such a horrible student and I can't do this and that or get a "real job". But rubbishing everyone elses life choice in here as if you're some shining fucking beacon of achievement is laughable.
yer on an island. not a continent.I make it a practice never to let people from other continents get under my skin....

You're a fucking retard with no reasing comprehension. I haven't poo-poo'd anybodys achievements or any degrees at all. All I stated was that it was probably a good idea if people could make such a big decision a bit later in their life when they knew what they actually wanted to do. What exactly is wrong about that?
I could go to University full time if I wanted, but as it happens I don't want to forced into a situation where I have to socialise with a bunch of whining home leaver students, it's not my friendship demographic.
Jesus you and Shally are more defensive than me today, is it your mantime of the month or something?
Your 'friendship demographic'? Wow.
A degree is not a 'big decision' - Going to University when you're 18 is a sensible option because down the line it isn't exactly easily done. I'm in a set pathway, I still haven't decided what to do. Would I have decided what to do had I not gone to Univ? No. Am I any closer to deciding what I want to do for the rest of my life? Yes.
If your biggest complaint about going to University is because of all these kids you're so much smarter than being around, maybe University isn't for you. Here I was thinking that University was for your own personal advancement, and not that of others? Who cares what other people think.
Oh that's right, NME does. That's why she has a birds nest on her head and thinks it's completely okay for a bunch of hippies to blockade the UK's power grid to force people to switch to green energy.
Usually by the age of 17 you realize you aren't as smart as you think you are. Why is it taking so long for you?
I like torque wrenches.
