I'm doing a job I took a break from for 16 years. My productivity is sky high compared to back then. I can plow through what was 40 hrs. work in 15-25, depending. Electronic filing and serving of documents by the Courts, not us, has removed a whole big cluster-fuck of attorneys playing games with each other on when and how documents were served.
Like august, I spend a certain amount of time up/down loading documents and moving through interfaces on slow ass government websites. Primarily Social Security.
My boss doesn't care if we are on the 'Net as long as shit is getting done On Time. He struggles to drag himself in by noon-ish, so he's glad the peons are making him money while the sun shines. "We" complain about his lax business oversight but we're glad when he's gone. Very erratic. He and I have real words about once a month. Yeah, it's degraded to that but he won't fire me. Making him money while the sun shines . .
