Towing with a Honda Fit

there's a 2001 for 2300 there...his is a '94 you said

bikes don't lose value nearly as badly as cars do. a that 2001 was only a few hundred dollars more brand spanking new :p blue book on a 94 vulcan 500 is just shy of two grand (1980) in my area and that's for the 500 version. if chim chim has a 750 or higher it'd be more

uh, yeah. you're not going to find a halfway decently maintained >250cc bike made after 1990 for under a thousand bucks

Motorcycles do not lose their value like cars. You also have to look at the original value.

edit: a 93 Vulcan 500 for three grand. That guy will probably get at least 2500 for it

edit2: another 93 for two grand :p this one isn't an LTD

he said they don't think it's mechanically sound enough to make the trip...not worth 2k

you're fighting a losing battle :p the point is that your original estimate of 500-800 was ridiculously low and even missing a wheel the bike would be worth more than that.

besides, long trips on a bike are different from long trips on a car. not being mechanically sound enough for a long trip doesn't mean it's about to fall apart. you have to be a lot more careful and a lot pickier. so yeah, as long as his bike actually runs it's worth between 1500-2k :fly:

even though I got my weight stuff backwards :fly: my point still stands. if the euro version is rated for a certain weight and the brakes, engine and transmission are all identical to their version than yours will handle it just fine
