Baby The Talk

I think the talk varies with each kid.

You determine the maturity level of your kid & what they've been exposed to, then base your terms & talk on that level.

For my oldest... He was so shy & didn't show any interest in girls even at 12 yrs old. Then, MySpace changed all that, and I hacked his account to read messages of him & a ton of other friends getting girls to send them pics of their boobs :/

So, his dad wouldn't stop whatever kept him busy, (beer, building shit, being retarded), to have the talk with him, so I did.

I was straight up with him. Used the correct terms & even went on about birth control & not to trust girls when they say they're on the pill, because girls can she crazy bitches. I told him to always bring his own birth control to the party. Ugh. That was all pretty painful.

My daughter was sooo easy because she used all the correct terms & wasn't embarrassed at all. It's like she wanted to know exactly how it was all done, like she was passing a test at the end. It was very classroomlike.

My youngest... Well, he got into dad's porn stuff on the pc by 4 or so, so I just watched him to see if he was ever inappropriate, and he wasn't. He obviously knows how it's done, but the fundamentals of it all came later. I also tried to establish that there is a difference with porn and sort of "real life".

how old are you?

Hey, it was simply to make him feel more comfortable.
He could have called vaginas zippers and penis ding-dongs and it would have been fine.

When we discussed the body parts and its functions he was good. It was this straight up PENETRAYSHUNZ stuff that freaked him out. Too much visuals I think. Poor kid.
Did you make sure to tell him that penetration isn't necessarily the way to get her off?

It seems all these kiddie sex books are like penthouse forum for women. Seems to really get them going. Makes sense what with all the fertility/conception/baby talk.

So last night we read chapter MAKING LOVE

ugh

How the mommy and daddy hug and kiss and the penis enters the vagina and then the sperm shoots inside the mommys vagina

I love this book cuz it has a section about homosexuality and how it's ok when two men love each other and how two women can love each other too.

This book is seriously amazing!

5star review on Amazon from me!

That's pretty cool. What book is it? Nay send it to my nephew and religious sis.

@Maureen I got the same book for my son and we started looking at it today. He just loved the cartoons. I love how honest it is about relationships. As I thought he knew most of it in generic terms. He thought the penis only touched and didn't go in but he's good on that now. We'll go over more of it this summer along with cursive. Yay at home summer school so to speak :fly:

Yeah after you talked about things here I spoke with others and looked at all sorts of books. I thought this would be the most interesting to him at this age and I was right. The others were too technical and boring or too fluffy. I wanted realistic yet something he'd want to read. This one was perfect so thank you for posting about it! We'll go through it all this summer but he read all the comics today in it and asked a couple questions.

Like you I want open and honest talks. I definitely want him comfortable talking about it.

I need to figure out something for math this summer. Not sure what we'll do. More complex dvision I think (using basic algebra) might be wise.

I think they'll do cursive this year in school but he asked me to teach him this summer a couple months ago so he can read some things he's seen in books better.

We're done for the year though. We'll take this week and next kind of off before we dive into the other subjects.
