and that one probably went down, too

the world is full of coincidences, two things being similar in one way does not mean they are similar in another way

It's weird to me how you're okay with accepting that just about every possible process went wrong, every automated system failed, and every tracking mechanism went dark, while the plane crashed, but you're not ok with the concept of the plane having been hijacked, which would be more likely as those system would typically be manually co-opted to fascilitate the hijacking. And if you're going to hijack a plane, your intent typically isn't to do all of that if you're just going to plow it into the ocean.

I'm ok with accepting that because it's fucking malaysia airlines, they probably cheaped out on every possible thing and never did any proper maintenance on those planes. Most airlines around the world are not like the big name domestic ones we know where the FAA actually makes them do a modicum of maintenance. It's cheaper to just pay off inspectors than to fix the planes.

The plane may have been hijacked but after the hijacking it most likely crashed. No one ever said hijackers were any good at flying planes. Or maybe the air crew didn't want it to be used as a weapon and brought the plane down themselves.

Those people are dead, dude. There's no conspiracy, no secret landing strip, no hostages. Every single person on that aircraft died a horrible and tragic death for reasons we don't know. They either died on impact with the water or drowned shortly thereafter.

That is the most likely scenario. There has been absolutely no evidence to the contrary.

Werd. If these people were alive and being held as hostages we would have heard something from the terrorists by now.

Dude, there is no evidence of your assertion either. Do deny one but not allow the same criteria for another doesn't work.

you're assuming the reasoning was terrorism.

I'll admit, most likely 99% of the people on that flight are now dead. But that doesn't mean I agree they died in a crash.

it is the simplest and most likely scenario. a LOT more planes fall out of the sky due to mechanical failure or a failed hijacking than are secretly stolen away

you have one example of a plane this large being stolen and never found again and in that case it was a fuel transport so it's even more likely that one simply exploded and vaporized everything

the commonly held belief that the plane went down does not need a lot of assumptions and it's happened many times before. your idea that it was stolen requires a lot of assumptions and has only once before happened without the hijackers immediately demanding something

sure, we can speculate about what might have happened but this idea that it was stolen and landed somewhere has the same amount of evidence supporting it as the idea that they were abducted by aliens or fell into a black hole

The end result is that people feel safer when there is a story, which is how mythology/religion came about. The truth is: we still don't know everything, nor can we control it, even in this day and age. Just fucking say we don't know.

Way to kill every alcohol fueled debate.

How would we know what the best way to die is if @Duke didn't simply ignore your claimed 'truth'??
