Cesar Milan would scoff at you.
Why am I over thinking it? 10 minutes ago you didn't even know you could over exercise a puppy. You're the one who's all animal rights and shiz, shouldn't you be commending someone on researching how to keep their dog healthy as well as active?
Cesar Milan can kiss my ass, don't even get me started on that abusive asshole. Have you seen the videos of him kicking dogs around btw? Doesn't seem like the kind of guy you'd approve of.

I'm not aware of that.
She's a dog! I'm not using that statement to discount her, but to say she is built to handle it.
Dogs don't say, well that's enough walk for me today. I better go sit inside bored.
Silliness.
'Millan chokes dogs till they pass out and he electrocutes them repeatedly until they are biting and terrified. The American Humane Association who monitors animal use on set has requested that Nat. Geo not air some Dog Whisperer episodes because the treatment of the animals is so inhumane. Good training is never cruel.'

Lovely guy!
I think I win by default anyway, I have a dog, Ape just has a male cat with no penis.

Aw, c'mon, not all dog breeds are created equal. Dogs with shorter snouts really do need to be limited in their activity because of overheating and heart issues.
I have 2 dogs and they get tired after running around the block a few times, and then they do go inside and crash on the couch like good potatoes.
I think the things she's talking about are really thoughtful, I never would have considered it myself, but I think it's better to be thoughtful than thoughtless.
I think you're coming from a different place and different experience. IIRC, you had a beagle (totally different temperment to that breed) and you kept it in a crate all day while you were at work, took it for a walk when you came home, put it in a crate all night while you slept and took it for a walk when you got up... for a beagle, that wouldn't be enough exercise (I have a half beagle, he's a nutjob)
I think the most important thing here isn't long walk vs. short walk, it's finding an obedience program and getting the pup enrolled, to teach handler and dog how to walk on a leash and basic commands. For us that was the best investment of time and money we ever made for our dogs.
