Anywhere you'd normally use wood (not plywood) you can replace with what we make in steel.

Plywood is only used as a means to cover the house...it's not used for anything else.

Only on more than 1 story houses generally or houses with a basement. Otherwise flooring is done on concrete ooorrr hardwood flooring.

Our houses are all block walls on the first floors and plywood on the second and third. The metal studs can only replace the structure of the home, as someone already said. The floor trusses in the seond and third floors are covered by plywood. There's just nothing really cost-effective to replace it with.

Most of the houses being built up here are using chipboard these days, even the nice ones.

I made sure my old one was built by someone that only used plywood.....
