Beats the shit out of me. Seems like a pretty glaring loophole, but that's because we can't comprehend certain things with the tools we have to work with. Our brains are pretty amazing things, but I don't think they are able to calculate the equation of God's forgiveness or the variables involved. We can only think of things in human terms, and can only consider a concept like God's unequivocal love as a "loophole".
I don't have all the answers, but I have a hard time believing God would turn his back on anyone, especially when I look at my son and am completely overwhelmed at exactly how much I love that kid.
