I once did that with a habanero I was chucking into my pho. It got stuck on to my contact lens, and that thing burned until I threw it out that afternoon.

I omce ate wings so hot I had to literally wash my mouth out with soap.
Finally got referral to ENT doctor. Tonsils getting removed soon. Adult tonsillectomy I'm told sucks a whole lot. Surgeon was very up front about recovery being awful. Not looking forward to this surgery. FML

Infectious disease doc says I'm almost out of the woods. PICC line comes out tomorrow. 7 days of oral Keflex. I can finally lift old man weights again!

when i had sepsis and i was thisclose to losing part of my colon, my surgeons wanted to to install a PICC line and when they told me where it went and what it did , i fucking bawled my eyes out and made my self puke begging them noooooo

I also have a wicked needle phobia from my first cancer chemo 37 years ago. I hate all things IV.
Turned out OK. My IV nurses are specialists. Today's dude nurse is becoming a nurse practitioner next week! Very gentle. Didn't hurt at all.
IV technology has come a long way. They use ultrasound to direct the entry so they aren't just hunting and so they don't ruin any veins. If you ever need a PICC line, it's gonna be OK.
I'm almost done with pneumonia treatment. Oral Keflex twice a day til next Thursday. Gotta go back to work soon.
