Advice Find me a nice winter jacket

It gets really cold here too. I might end up getting 2. I like a lot of leather jackets I see but they just aren't warm enough for a lot of days here. Might get a leather + some kind of parka.
That always makes it tough. Once in a blue moon I'll find a leather coat with really good removable insulation, but I haven't in years. I say go for 2 or 3 coats if you can. Leather, parka and wool. For a parka type, I really love the quality in both Columbia and North Face. They have great ones that layer within themselves and still look/feel right. Then you'll be covered for all weather and styles you might need.
Kind of sucks, but it's a hazard of living in colder climates. But yeah I remember helping you pick the last coat.

Just please don't do this one:

I haven't seen that around here since like the late 90s

Though this one could be super hot:

Is there anything more obnoxious than ordinary dudes wearing pseudo-military or special ops clothes? Jesus Christ. I hate armchair commandos.

That "ranger hoodie" comes dangerously close to that territory.

the people making it and marketing it are about on par.

Whenever you see someone wearing camo in public, yell "YOUR CAMO SUCKS, I CAN SEE YOU!" at them.

Okay since I have time now to really look... if I were to pick for standard guys, I would look into this coat

I've owned that brand of coat and they are nice quality. Classic look that should go far.

Because I'm lazy I'm sticking with Nordy's... for a leather jacket a classic one like this

I really am a fan of 3in1s for all kinds of weather

That's where I would begin
