Are Europeans indeed lazy?
Apparently in France, the work week (by law) has to be 35 hours, there is a set amount of paid vacation that is quite a lot, and a pension and health care are quite taken care of.
In Scandinavia, this is the same, if not more. Maternity leave and paternity leave are on the side of obscene as well as other benefits like "stress leave" - just get up and leave no questions asked because you might be seasonally depressed.
And that whole July/August everything closes and everyone is off work.
And the level of productivity is actually lesser.
