Ontopic Facebook Parenting

It you play your cards right you don't even have to do anything. The other kids take care of the one who is screwing it up for everyone. How long do you think the kids who deprived everyone of recess lasted?

Since you really want to talk about this... Yeah, I want other kids teaching my kid right from wrong and how to behave. That's a fantastic idea. And I gotta wonder who these kids are that are consistently not doing their homework. Where are the parents in that scenario anyway?

like 98% of kids these days don't have parents who give a shit. anyways, it's not the kids teaching you right from wrong, it's peer pressure making you do the right thing so they get recess again.

and don't give me some bullshit line about giving into peer pressure.

It's not about teaching, it's about pressure. Not many people got beat up but no one would play with kids who skipped homework or associate with them etc. Also gave the entire rest of the class a sense of unity. No one ever skipped homework for long. There was also a reward system for no names on the board for so many days. Can't remember exactly what the rewards were though.

No one is really supposed to read that garbage anyway.

Jane Austen is overrated!

I like Jane Austen and I don't believe she is overrated. She wrote romance and was very descriptive about the people and how they lived in that era. I think it's interesting and fun. Maybe it's not good for a guy, but her writing makes me happy.

One of the finest writers of the 19th century, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a homosexual.

im not disputing that the daughter is prob a lil twat.. but me? personally, i wouldnt take it to facebook/interwebz as a parent.. its childish for a parent to stoop to that level.

You're Spanish. Which means with 100% certainty that you've gone off on HN in public. :fly: That makes you look like a lunatic! But in the grand scheme of things, who really cares? Everyone creates different teaching points for their children. Some work and some don't. I'm pretty sure every parent has their successes and failures.

And maybe, just maybe, he (like a lot of other people), thought it was funny. I know I did.
