Ontopic Should people who are government leaches be allowed to have children?

Technically I should have 30mins off a day but if I took 30mins out my day that would mean I'd get less work done. Some days I really cannot afford to be dicking around. I used to have one lunch break a month but I've only had one break int he past 5 months. Guess I'm kinda due one, office is pretty bare and busy right now though.

My coworker in Cleveland used to go out anyway. every hour for 15 mins he would just play games on his phone or do somehting, but he made sure to walk out near the smoker's tent and have a smoke-less smoke break.

I used to go on smoke breaks with the smokers, but I didn't smoke.

It was just good to go outside every so often.

Only if you're hourly. Salaried employees aren't necessarily guaranteed the same rules.

Those that get the 15 minute breaks are usually also only allowed a 30 minute lunch

actually we're both wrong. it has nothing to do with salaried vs. hourly and it is state dependent, not national. it appears there are no laws for it in my state at all

This economic book I'm reading says smokers are okay. They kill themselves off at least seven years earlier than the rest of the population and because of that, we get to have more of the social security benefits pool.

That is... if we have SS by the time we need it. :waw:

The fifteen minute break thing is extremely common in union master agreements, so it applies to a shitload of people all over the place still.
