LCD TV on sale

if the specs don't matter why don't you just buy the cheapest thing possible? paying for a name with shitty specs doesn't make much sense

because then i can at least be sure that they're not lying about the specs too badly.

besides, i'm not saying shitty specs, i'm just saying that i'll limit my decision to somewhere around the limit of human perception and no further. my viewing room is not perfect so any gains from spec inflation will be negligible compared to the major improvement i could get by throwing a curtain on the window (which i probably won't do anyway, so who cares?)

Bookshelves? Don't make me laff. Book PILES. Like in Oblivion. I live in a fuckin literature WAREHOUSE. BAM

To me it seems almost to real to the point it looks fake? I don't know. I can instantly notice it when some one has it on. Maybe I'd get used to it. I bought mine right before they became even close to affordable, so I'm fine w/ not having it.

I've heard that criticism...mine is 60hz and it looks great as is so I don't really care about 120 or 240hz

I find it amusing that I'm now pricing out 46 and 47" tv's. IBWIP, I hate you.

Fortunately, they're out of my price range.

The fact that it looks "too" real is a very common complaint. My Samsung is 120hz, but I don't notice anything like that.
