For those "forgot TP" hikes.
Still don't have the Brown Ivy one though...

i read the first post, why would i read the rest?
also, haynes > chiltons... for some things. i have both and where one lacks, the other is strong. chiltons seem to completely suck at electrical for example.
I want to fuck your ass
This is an on topic thread. Could you please keep your comments related to the main point of the thread.
That being said, screw spending 450 bucks for them to check a bunch of things and then inform you you need to fix all of them and it will cost you 5 grand.
Because if you read it, you would have known I already know about both those manuals. I also know about Honda Service manuals
well from reading your first post i assumed you knew nothing about cars or anything associated with maintaining them since you thought it'd cost over $400 for the 30k mile checkup.
I need to get my car serviced for 30,000 miles. I don't have the means to do all of this myself.
and some I can do myself, but to have this done elsewhere other than the dealership, what should I be looking at?
If I had the tools, I could probably do 95% of this stuff myself, but I want to make sure first.
Blame me. Until last May it was my car. When I handed the keys over to him it only had 23K miles on it if that. I had a very small commute to work when I did have it and the few road trips to Chicago and N. Ohio didn't really add much on it I guess. How the hell do you have 30k miles after 6 years?

Our year old CR-V has like 6000 miles and that includs a 1200 mile road trip to NJ and 1000 mile road trip to DC and back. I simply don't drive far because we have everything we need near by (including a store I walk to instead of drive to). Also it doesn't help that I don't work out of the home.. I also was a SAHM during part of my time driving the Civic.
Kind of sad I know
Just sad in that I don't seem to go very far during the week. Makes me feel like I have no life when I see the mileage on my carskind of sad?
i'm jealous. i put 15-20k miles a year on my vehicle, and that's about 15k more than i want to.
