Piss you off maybe, but blind you, no. If your eyes/night vision is shoddy enough that my high-beams would bother you, you should not be driving, regardless of whether or not you have a vagina.

I have been blinded long enough to drift lanes before because someone decided to flash their high beams at me to let me know they were passing. It took a second or two for me to refocus. A lot can happen in that time.

You are controlling in essence a guided missile. It is a product that can kill someone else. It should be treated as such. You should sit in the driver seat with the thought in your mind you could kill someone with your car/driving and to then drive accordingly.

He should not drive like an asshole, then. Driving up my ass and being a shitty driver behind me is just as dangerous, if not moreso, than me beaming him. I've been driving and had a car so far up my ass that I had to drive over a deer carcass in the road because if I hit my brakes he'd have slammed me. Fucked up the undercarriage of my benz like woah, all so this fucker could get home a little faster, and he could just as easily have passed me (it was about 1am, I was driving home from work.)
I don't care if people pass me in the first place, or within a relatively reasonable amount of tailgating (sometimes if you creep up on someone a little, the get going; if they don't, then you definately back off and wait for an opportunity to pass,) but don't tail me the whole 20 miles you're behind me when there's dotted yellow and empty roads the whole time.

so he was deemed a bad driver. That doesn't mean you should become a bad driver, speed up past the posted legal limit, and attempt to temporarily blind/distract him from the action at hand.

Get mad, but don't let it influence yours or others driving.
 
What I like to do w/ tailgaters or high beam flashers is to pelt their automobiles w/ paint filled balloons. Let me tell you there is nothing quite like watching a blinded drivers car spin out of control at highway speeds.:tard:

Seriously, the horn, the finger and maybe a few choice curse words for the other idiots, but do you think we should be attempting to blind one another while driving?

I generally go 5 over the speed limit anyway, as I was this night, and he was STILL on my ass. Speeding isn't as dangerous as they'd (the collective they, whoever they are that decide these things) would have you think.
And I'm not attempting to distract him or blind him, I'm attempting to piss him off; I assure you, I accomplish that.
 
sweet jesus, high beams are not blinding, especially not from behind. Most drivers with cars that aren't falling apart tend to have the rear-view mirror with the night-driving dimmer angle anyway.

edit: if high-beams were blinding, nobody would be allowed to have any, because it would be considered too dangerous for drivers to have control of, particularly considering the aforementioned sitations, or oncoming traffic with their beams on.

I'm sure you follow every law laid out for you. No rolling stops (even in the middle of the night on deserted roads in the middle of nowhere.) Never drank underage (not even a little sip of champagne for new years or at a wedding, or a sip of wine with dinner with your parents.)

Pissing him off would be distracting him from the job at hand, which is driving.

And speed does not kill. If you have reasonable reflexes, which I am sure you do, and have a capable car running in tip-top shape as intended by the producer, then going faster than the posted is well within reason.

I am still purplexed by people that get emotional responses from driving from outside influences. Get a smile on your face when you are driving a car with a pleasing sound or sufficient peformance. Get a frown when the car breaks down. But getting violent or angry or some other heated (and distracting) emotion because of the actions of someone else on the road is something I don't understand.

An SUV or truck behind a car can be blinding. And it takes a few seconds to flip the dimmer.

They aren't allowed in the cities. They are illegal when you have oncoming traffic. They are almost completely banned as it is.
 
wtf is wrong with you people's eyes? Stop smoking weed. I have NEVER been blinded by high beams and additionally refuse to flip my rearview dimmer when someone behind me has them on.
