I suppose you'd call it hypersensitive or something. I just call it fucked in the head.

I don't mean every guy who's more emotional or broader swings or whatever. It's a certain type or style of it I can't find the right words for.

As far as being the worst part of the species, meh it was 50/50.
Someone was bound to take the job.
Some try to be better some don't.

Serial killers are usually more intelligent, higher IQ, better cons than the type I'm thinking of.

I've worked in production facilities my entire life and the break room conversations amongst the men almost always goes something like.

"Hey. Look at this chick in the news, she did something extraordinary "

Followed by an enchanting conversation about who would and who wouldn't fuck her.

If men aren't pigs we sure are creepy sometimes.

Yeah. He was really dumb and creepy in the interview I saw. I think the "smart" rumor started with Bundy. He was intelligent. Most of the others got lucky or the police didn't care enough.

I'm not sure if high levels of psychopathy are correlated at all with intelligence. Most serial killers are not highly intelligent at all. Most lack criminal sophistication and their underlying narcissism trips them up. As forensics and technology has improved so has apprehending them. Its not that they were super smart, it was just that criminology has advanced. That's my take on a lot of it anyways.
 
I can't remember if Bundy was particularly smart, he did have a bunch of superficial charm and was handsome, similar to Dahmer. Those are some of the traits in killers who do more killing.

Also background of the things that lead to the pathology are common, and most would lead to a deficit in intelligence or IQ rather than the other way round e.g. phyaical pre frontal cortex trauma in childhood stunting development.

Bundy had some friends in high places who said he was a very smart guy after he was caught. But I don't believe in the high IQ theory with these guys.
Opportunists who usually choose victims society doesn't care about.
Bundy killed college age women and the entire country went nuts.
The green river killer killed prostitutes and it took forever to find him. People barely new about it until they made a documentary about it asking for help.

A number of studies have shown once you remove those with head injuries and congenital issues from a prison population and the general population the prison population has a higher IQ. Smarts aren't all positive. And yes, incidence of mental health issues goes up rapidly with increases in IQ.
Hard to be a smart person in a world of stupid people. Not highly intelligent - maybe low in EQ yet high in IQ?
I had to deal with a real narcissist for a few years - their EQ seems low, except in regards to themselves and their emotional needs and sensitivities. Is quite a conumdrum.
