Where I grew up at we had the big acts come through in the summer season and they got kids from the high school music programs to be free labor to haul scaffolding and do the work of stage construction in exchange for a ticket to the show. I got to see the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in exchange for setting up the scaffolding and lights and shit. That was a great deal.

I have noticed local police, through larger funding of course, have been posting up strategically to divide the neighborhoods into smaller and smaller grids.

They don't have to be everywhere but they can cover the usual routes and watch ingress and egress and be everywhere else in 3 minutes.
