did we have a parent thread other than this one? i thought we did...
as some of you know, my son is involved in acting/theatre, and from time to time he dabbles in auditions for television, film, commercials etc...he's scored some cool extra roles and some modelling in the past. but nothing major yet. he's super involved in theatre tho.

i came across a link that lead to a link that lead to a link for auditions for
HOT TUB TIME TRAVEL THINGY FOR KIDS....
a bunch of wet 10-14 yr olds sitting in a hot tub with the cameras rolling sounds sooooooo FLYish to me.
I've been researching the production company all morning and everything about this co. sounds sketchy.
I'm even looking to see if anyone has reported them for inappropriate shit.

this website came up and its run by some dude named sterling or something who makes these low budget kiddie films and begs for donations... this cant be lucrative so why would this "producer" just do this for nothing? for fun? a hobby? ughhhhhh AND
every single audition calls for boys 10-14 yr old boys!??! I found their youtube channel and all the videos make me cringe and they looks so dated and they are ALL boys running around topless and interviewing other boys on the beach and some parks. SO ODD.
Kiko is a member of a performers union and i get updates and links to auditions across canada, all production companies i deal with are recognized by ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) so i only contact those.
this Pro.Co is not affiliated with them at all... i feel like reporting this... it makes me feel icky and uncomfortable.

I wouldn't want to have to deal with that kind of scary shit. Honestly I've been told my kid has talent. He says he has no interest and wants to eventually have "a real job" (his words, not mine). I think we're happy with him just doing stuff now and then that isn't paid work.
I don't trust any of those movie peeps with kids. That guy has been making these boy films since 2003, it looks like. :/
That just makes me sick thinking about it. I know it's rampant in the industry too, to abuse children. That just seems so blatant *ick*
