Ontopic Random Computer-Electronics Thread

I finally found something the T410 laptop I use for everything can't do: OpenGL 2.0. And the latest SketchUp and Inventor both suddenly require it.

I can get a T430 locally for 300-350 bucks, or maybe I'll just set up the desktop again.

Oh for fucks sake.

Told the person to get a used business-class HP for $150 because it's good enough to run facebook and puzzle games and e-mails and shit, can take a bit more of a beating than their Gateway, and if they do break it, they're only out $150. Now they're offended at me for implying they break shit. Really?

For the most part hardware had outpaced software for quite awhile. It's not the two year cycle it used to be, most games you could play perfectly fine on a five year old pc, probably older.

Ea can't code for shit though.

Owning stock in a mining company doesn't make you a miner. That said, I'd like to spend the next seven pages discussing it, preferably with more and more obscure analogies.
It's even called ea dice. You're really nitpicking the publisher/developer relationship on this one, especially since the publisher owns the dev.
