quit the current ob today. Hour and 15 minutes late for the appt, couldnt take blood pressure because the machine was out of batteries. Urine sample bathroom was out of paper, and the trash was overflowing on the floor.

Made a buncha of excuses when we quit, and said her staff isnt responsible for understanding insurance, cleaning, or ... well, pretty much anything.

Good riddance.

Wow

I cannot believe they are still in business. Makes me more grateful for my OB/GYN every time you post about your experience.

The line that got us most was "i used to wait 2 hours, if you dont have an extra hour, you shouldnt be making appointments"

You are having a horrible time with OBs. Can I help?

Uh no... sorry but no. That would irk me. My doctor can be running late due to emergencies and deliveries. If she is really behind they will call me. They've gotten better over the years with wait times which I like.

I don't get why doctor's think that only their time is valuable and the patients don't matter.

The OBs I'm familiar with work in the office 2 days a week, seeing 35-40 patients each 8 hour day. The other days they are either in the hospital delivering babies/doing surgeries or in the classroom teaching medical students. Today's charting takes up far more time than actually seeing the patient.

The docs don't have much control over their schedules, and most hate when patients have to wait. Blame the front office/schedulers.

And when scheduling patients, they should take all that into account.

Asking someone to show up for a 9:00am appointment doesn't mean you should finally see the doctor at 10:30am

We've got an appt with a new one feb 4. We found her on our own, and then out of the blue august recommended her too from when she used to live this way. So hopefully she'll be good. At this point she'd better be since we're pretty much stuck.

Thank you though, i appreciate that.
