Thanks for the tip. We have a house rental with a chef etc then they take us over via shuttle bus to the course. I might just leave everything at the rental house to make it easier.

You should pick up archery or something like that. There is a small upfront cost for the bow etc but then you don't have to pay after that. And you can get really cheap sets since you are using them for hunting or anything. Or what about camping, hiking, etc.
 
I'm thinking about getting to electronics with him. I remember when I was a kid they used to have little kits for all sort of contraptions. I don't think they cost much either.

Unless you're wearing a Faraday cage codpiece I would warn everyone off trying something. All the members participate in the tournament by obligation as part of membership. My uncle was the head of security last year and it was serious, serious shit. It always has been in recent years.

i've never had a no cost hobby.

some are really cheap to maintain once you get the gear though, backpacking started out expensive but once i had a decent pack, tent, etc. it's been very low cost. something outdoors would be awesome though.

my dad taught me blackjack and poker when i was very young and they were always good for some entertainment, critical thinking, math skills, etc.
 
shit, even fly built a shelf or something.

does australia have boyscouts/cubscouts? merit badges are basically a laundry list of low/no cost activities parents can do with kids.

I love poker. Trouble is trying to find other people that want to play. And Internet Poker isn't the same thing.

I wiped out everyone in an all night game downtown when I first moved here and was never invited back. :(
