I have an older version of that trimmer I bought in 1996-97. It’s all I’ve used since then as my “yard” is too bumpy for mowing. My back yard isn’t exactly a postage stamp either. It’s huge by today’s standards. And I beat the piss out of the trimmer, and it’s never broken down at all.
Yes, it’s corded and the nerd crowd here will make fun of that, but fuck them. You won’t be wanting the next new thing in a year like those dweebs do.
