Assuming that most of us aren't basement trolls, what the one gift that you're really hoping to receive this year from friends/family?

Subtle "I hope April posts what she wants so I know what to get" thread.

my laptop from 2002 is dying rapidly, its a pain in the butt. Id like a tablet to replace it with, something i can make laptop-ey if needbe, but also tabletey when i want it to be but with good battery life.

Getting giftcards sucks. But I guess its good if the person really doesn't know you.
I love giftcards. I would much prefer it if everyone stopped stressing and just spoiled themselves during December so they could get exactly what they wanted, that's why I like giftcards, gives me the choice to just spend money on what I want.

I do, now that I think about it, appreciate gifts of fine craft brews and liquor.
Just fyi.

Which reminds me. I had a bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon on my wishlist. A friend of mine was gonna get it for me for my birthday, but she ended up not being able to find it. :( However, in its place, I did get some other bourbons that are quite delish. Ape got me one of them, and a fancy glass + ice ball thingie to drink it out of!

thats kinda why they dont suck, their gift cards are as good as cash

Why am I not surprised that you prefer uninspiring, non fun gifts for Christmas. Which administration was in office the last time you laughed?

I don't find it uninspiring Zac, I have a wishlist full of stuff on amazon I never get round to buying, I love it when I can just click on a bunch of stuff and have it delivered. Much better than someone getting me something I can't be bothered with.
