I saw an episode of the new Star Trek thing, and really wanted to like it even if I wasn’t subscribing because it’s Star Trek. Then I saw a hologram communication segment and the hologram sat on the edge of a desk in the captain’s quarters (?), and that lost me. It made no sense at all. I can suspend disbelief easy enough, but that was dumb.
