it was recently the 7th anniversary of my very first tattoo, the Big Ass Whale that graces my right thigh. that one we did all in one sitting, linework & color, and that was where we figured out my skin is kind of a little bitch so I split things up going forward.

here's what I've got so far, each of these is when it was fresh.

top left is my left half-sleeve which is the one I'm getting mildly jerked around on getting another appointment set up for.
bottom left is my left forearm, it's done. I got it in memory of a friend in that band that died, but in light of recent sexual assault/rape allegations against another member who is also his twin brother, I'm having mild ragerts.
middle is the whale again, and the petunias that match it on the other thigh.
top right is my in-progress Cthulhu that I need to find someone to finish, it's eventually gonna be a whole Eldritch theme/scene.
bottom right is my right forearm, and it's referencing my husband's band :fly:
I was looking for the bowl of petunias to match the whale, and you didn't disappoint.

To all of y'all still paying attention to tattooing, about how long should one last before going in for a touch up? My alien is starting to get a bit fuzzy on the edges, and it's just about 8 years old now.

it depends on a lot of factors (sun exposure, expansion/contraction, movement, intricacy/delicateness, etc), but I'd say 8 years isn't bad for wanting or needing minor touch-ups.
