bleeds air into the plenum to keep the engine running when the throttle blades are closed.Whats an idle air motor?
Most cars now have drive-by-wire throttlebodies that take care of air bypass using the throttle plate. That's like a "last 10 years" sort of innovation though.I've never heard of an idle air motor. Weird

yeah, but the '90s was only like 5 years ago, so shut up.my 2008 corolla has that, and Toyota aint known to be the type to rapidly innovate and integrate new technologies.
Most of the time its just called an Idle Air Control module. IAM might be something weird Nissan does, I've never heard it called that till now.I've never heard of an idle air motor. Weird
Nissan had an idle air control valve, which featured an auxiliary air control solenoid as well as a fast idle control device. There was also a simple bi-metal valve called the air regulator which was open when the plenum was cold and closed when hot. Most of the time its just called an Idle Air Control module. my 2011 corolla has canbus throughout, electric power steering, electric throttle control, rev hang for emissions control (which I fucking hate), and a whole bunch of other modern stuff in it. Even uses the ABS wheel sensors for the speedometer/odometer/whatever, sending that shit over CAN from the ABS module to the instrument cluster.my 2008 corolla has that, and Toyota aint known to be the type to rapidly innovate and integrate new technologies.
u mad bro?Why bother. It’s just going to explode again since you spend more time raging on an Internet forum than you do maintaining that piece of shit.
True, I've done enough to keep it slightly more groundhog proof than @Valve1138's Fteenthousand. It's true though.
They've done a really nice job on that block, but I can't say it's PROFESSIONAL GRADE.
How did you know about @fly's weekend plans? So the 5 banger is going back together now...
