Took some pics this morning before leaving. 11.8 acres of land fully cleared. 2 stall horse barn for storage and for the 2 Barn cats to live in that I inherited. 2 car garage for both of my vehicles.

Need to get a generator (needs 220v output to run well pump which is 400ft deep), lawn tractor, and probably a snowblower. Probably will hire a farmer to cut the field as tractors are kind of pricey.

Get yourself a beefy transfer switch and probably a 10000 running watts generator with electric start.

And keep its battery hooked up to a trickle charger.

I did live in central and northern Utah for almost 25 years. I do understand how to survive in cold, it just isn’t worth it.

Probably will hire a farmer to cut the field as tractors are kind of pricey.

You could even call some local farmers that grow hay and ask what they'd 'lease' your field for and turn it into a small amount of cash[it would be small, but at least you wouldn't have any expense]. My barn owner does this (grows hay) with property all over the far west chicago area. Some fields as small as 2 acres.

I was looking at a 30 acre property in MI where the owner *leased* 27 acres to a farmer who traded him a side of beef every year for it.

They cut/bale hay usually 3x at most per year.
