Wow, they really don't want to sell that.

I suggest requesting this at your local pro shop then. :) Right now they are handmade. Raw materials and labor total more than $75, it's not for profit yet. They take about 6 hours each to make, and are quite complicated. I make every one myself.

They would go for $30-40 only if I had a big enough order to where it would make sense to make in a chinese factory where I could justifying going there to supervise the quality (so about 2,000 of them). Pretty much all golf products you see come from one factory, that is why all the current novelty headcovers suck!

I do hope the price comes down in the future and they are successful. Word of mouth is most helpful and I appreciate the reviews of price. I sorry to say for now its a bit like the dolphin boat for most. :)

That... is some damn good advertising.

Personal presence shows up on comment, politely refutes comment and explains price and then posts again proving it wasnt a script.

Awesome dude. If i still played, and was 16 and willing to piss off the country club, id buy one. Im not any of those things.

Have you actually sold any? Not trying to be a dick here, just interested in a small business data point...

Yes, expect to average about two a week doing almost no advertising. I think the market for such a product is very small, I have talked to many people in pro shops and nobody is buying even the $30 ones, like of Quagmire or Stewie, so I think I'm doing about as good as I can expect. I will be adding fairway covers, but by no means do I think I will make a lot of money from them. It's a great loss leader for getting the right clients though. It's been really amazing who buys from me. I find out when paparazzi writes to buy photos or it shows up in magazine.

I think the golf shops have them just to feel like a golf shop, they are loss leaders for them too. Most people just are content with stock one from expensive driver they buy. The stock designs to me are much better than the novelty ones in my opinion. The big companies spend a lot to make good quality products. I have all kinds of headcovers in my office now from every company to judge. They all are made in China, but there is different quality control levels. The licensed products all are pretty terrible quality, but I did learn some about build process in china. I don't think Dick's make any money from them either, it is just eye candy in store. They actual drivers cost about the same to produce and they can sell for $200-400.

The only time I have see a person when I am doing dilegence of market is one wealthy Korean guy who was buying a Scotty Cameron custom putter and cover. $800 for putter, $130 for the putter cover. I think price is not the issue for a lot of people. I wish I knew better how to become those lot of peoples. :)

Like I said, I love trololo. I am proudly Tatar though.

I am going to wear a burqa to do promotional shots for these golf headcovers when I get around to it. I like to make Americans uncomfortable, especially when they ask how I got into this country. My answer is always "I met my husband on brides.ru, he's 78." I mean, what were they expecting when they ask such questions? :)

Next time try "your decadent capitalist officials are so easy to bribe! My brothers and sisters in arms are silently infiltrating your country!"

I know a man who publishes scorecards for exclusive clubs. Shoot me a PM with some info on what you're looking for and I'll pass it along.
