I don't think they ever get close to temp where they fume. Besides, they are outside of heating chamber with ceramic fiber insulation over them. If you really are worried, have a frenemy do the first run of the vape. Nichrome wire/elements build up a coating of chromium oxide in the first heating, which encapsulates the remaining nickel in the wire. Makes it stiff. Exact same process with new kiln coils. This concern has been discussed a lot in various fields.

Thanks for the concern, but you obviously have me confused with someone who gives a fuck. The coil could be made from baby bones and I’ll still use it as long as I’m not wheezing and coughing up a hundred loogies a day again.
