Shaping EQ is just as much about removing bad sounds as it is about adding good sounds.Hey one of the sliders sounds good. 1 out of 7 ain't bad. I was looking for a nice low mid thump. 120 gets me there. Everything else is mostly doable with the three band eq on my amp.
All you need for the low E is 41Hz. Just gate everything else out.Hey one of the sliders sounds good. 1 out of 7 ain't bad. I was looking for a nice low mid thump. 120 gets me there. Everything else is mostly doable with the three band eq on my amp.
It's 7 bands. There's not a lot of flexibility. Besides, the flats already take care of the removing part.Chafing in EQ is just as much about removing bad sounds as it is about adding good sounds.
Honestly, it's not like the sound guy isn't gonna just turn the bass off anyhow.
In 97% of bands the bassist is the sound guy. Coincidence? I think not.Honestly, it's not like the sound guy isn't gonna just turn the bass off anyhow.
You're all wrong, it's a fish.Unfortunately many of them seem to think bass is a frequency and not an instrument. Meaning leave the mud in the subwoofers and pull out the note definition everywhere else.
High pass filters FTW.Unfortunately many of them seem to think bass is a frequency and not an instrument. Meaning leave the mud in the subwoofers and pull out the note definition everywhere else.
That only works for them old-school basses with their limited low end. Think low B. 31 hz.All you need for the low E is 41Hz. Just gate everything else out.
Most amps don't even produce that low. And the older ones didn't even get down to 41. Ears are stupid. You can tell them anything and they'll believe you. That only works for them old-school basses with their limited low end. Think low B. 31 hz.
Never again. Praise be the low B for transposing. It's cool if you only have one band though. D standard is the perfect tunning for a 34 scale bass imo. It just sounds right.we tune to Eb
