Hey one of the sliders sounds good. 1 out of 7 ain't bad. I was looking for a nice low mid thump. 120 gets me there. Everything else is mostly doable with the three band eq on my amp.

Shaping EQ is just as much about removing bad sounds as it is about adding good sounds.

All you need for the low E is 41Hz. Just gate everything else out.

Chafing in EQ is just as much about removing bad sounds as it is about adding good sounds.

It's 7 bands. There's not a lot of flexibility. Besides, the flats already take care of the removing part.

That only works for them old-school basses with their limited low end. Think low B. 31 hz.

Most amps don't even produce that low. And the older ones didn't even get down to 41. Ears are stupid. You can tell them anything and they'll believe you.

Never again. Praise be the low B for transposing. It's cool if you only have one band though. D standard is the perfect tunning for a 34 scale bass imo. It just sounds right.

Super light and Eb. Sounds fun and fat. I'm too sloppy for strings that light.

I'm working on a gospel set. My plan is to try to get the gospel set booked as a different act to get double bookings for the same venue. Plus this will be great for people who don't care for gospel being mixed with secular music and vise versa. But really I'm just doing it to get extra money.
