You can have keys duplicated you know... I happen to know a few british locksmiths if you need me to point you at one
O rearry? I should be okay so long as I'm not the only one with a set.

I don't have a driveway. I live downtown in a major city. where do you park it? if you have 2 sets of keys you could lock it and leave it running for a while where it happens to be

If she locks herself out of the car then she's probably locked herself out of the house too
I think it's awesome that you are actively trying to educate yourself on cars..
For future reference:
the dipstick shows how much oil is in the 'sump'.
the battery doesn't need to be removed to be charged.
you can start a car without a battery.
you can buy battery jumpers which are just a big power convertor that you plug into the wall and then connect to your battery.
you put 3 litres of oil in your car. that a bloody lot of oil. I think your father should take a look at it.
Did you put the oil in the hole inside the engine compartment, or in the hole on the side of the car towards the back?
Well it would be nice to be able to sort these things out myself.
What is the sump?
I need to buy jumpers for sure.
Why is 3 litres too much? The dipstick was like empty, it's not dripping out after putting 3 litres in.
The sump is like a big tray that bolts onto the underside of your engine. Oil drains from the engine collecting in the sump to be pumped back up into the engine again. This is what you would remove in order to do an oil change.
Ah I see. Maybe I need an oil change.
After cleaning the dipshit it showed very little oil in the well.
Something is definitely going on with your oil if it was completely empty. Do you know when the last time someone put oil in her?
:tinfoil:This is what you would remove in order to do an oil change.
I would keep an eye on the oil level just to be safe.
Have you noticed a leak since you put oil in?
what year and model car is it?
