So what is "quieting smoking" anyway? Aside from when people cough, I've never really considered smoking to be a loud hobby.

i thought both were invented at the texas state fair. they have a big competition for deep fried things there each year.

also, the tea biscuits my mother used to make were definitely not as soft as the biscuits i've had in the south. not sure what the difference is, but it's probably less crisco or something.

deep fried twinkie came from NY, albeit by someone originally from england.

though texas may have been the first place to sell deep fried butter, and more recently a deep fried coke.
