I think I figured out why Scout borks at the tv when it's off. He was sitting on my lap with his head in line between me and the tv, both looking towards the tv, when his stainless tag flashed a reflection of a light through the tv. I thought it was something to do with darkened shapes since he doesn't do it with mirrors, and here this fucker has been strobing himself off.

Seems obvious - the big bed is too big to be cozy, particularly for the "spin yourself thrice and then curl as tight as reasonable while flopping down" all dogs seem to love at times.
