then again, the suicide indicates regret. Maybe he wasnt as thuggish as he was made out to be, and his brain really was fucked up.
Who knows.
Most guys with CTE wind up killing themselves.

So now it's been medically confirmed he wasn't right in the head.Hernandez found to have severe CTE

Those guys basically get into 10-20 car wrecks every Sunday. Regardless if it ends up diagnosed as a full concussion, it's really fucking bad. And as Brady's wife alluded to earlier this year, they do their best to hide any symptoms of a concussion.Anabolic steroid abuse also can cause aggressive behaviors. He was only 27 years old, and a big tight end, did he have enough concussions to have that degree of CTE in his career? I wonder if the performance enhancing drugs worsen the effects of concussions? Or cause physical brain damage on their own?

I don't see how they can fix it. Football as we know it might be dead in 10-20 years. The NFL just wants this whole CTE thing to go away
Unfortunately it can only be diagnosed after death. For now.
Shit will really hit the fan when they find a way to diagnose it in the living.

I first heard about this years ago when Ditka was on Howard Stern. It makes *some* sense, but I dunno if it would work. Either way, my statement that football as we know it might be dead in 10-20 still stands. No helmets or pads.

It's already headed that way.I don't see how they can fix it. Football as we know it might be dead in 10-20 years.
Why are you bringing politics into the sports thread, anyways?
