i think you and i are the only people of this opinion. the rest of these guys are so wrapped up in cotton wool that the only thing they seem to care about is fucking animals.

just shows how far detatched from reality they are from watching CSI: and House every night, feeding some miserable little animal before bedtime

You don't care what I call it. I don't care what other people call it. Fact is, it's a buzzword, and that's why you're using it. Why not Universal Healthcare? or National Healthcare. there's a lot in a name.

You can make a personal choice to side with people. It rarely works though

depends on who administrates it.

Don't forget the system right now favors over testing and over caring. Meaning docs are encouraged to do more tests and more hospital stays even if they aren't warranted.

Get rid of incentives to do every last test even if not needed, costs will go way down, the private sector can't demand that, they can only deny paying for it. Only the government can actually force a hospital to change its ways. Right now we have a health care system designed by market norms, it comes down to dollars and cents. Health Care is a social institution, it needs to be treated as such.

it's easy to think that way. i shouldn't have to say a dogs life is worth -less- than a humans. there shouldn't even be a parallel drawn..
 
I wouldn't save an animal over my family or friends, but you better believe I would save my pets life over anyone else's life.

What goes through my mind is what I care for most... my cat. Then the thought of what others would think if I saved the cat and not the child...

...fuck the others, I want my Steve. :heart: The only reason I would save the child was because what others would think or do to me if I hadn't.

I'm so callous, but my cat means more to me than some strange child.
