I know it's a give and take thing with marketing of your data, but I just can't get myself to use an external app that follows all my purchases.do you guys have honey? that auto coupon app or extension or whatever
Honey
Honey is a browser extension that automatically finds and applies coupon codes at checkout with a single click.www.joinhoney.com
so i needed to buy a power cord for my friends cricut cuz i lost it
the power cord was 5.99 and the shipping was 14.99
anyhoo i had no choice cuz i needed to replace this thing i lost.
so my honey thing popped up asking me if i wanted to see if there were any coupons available for this order and badaboom badabing this code pops up and the order was now $5.41
it gave me some happy birthday code and removed the $14.99 shipping
yay
I dont care but I'm always a little suspicious of those things. Microsoft Edge has one built in and it always tries to sell you on buying from some dodgy site.I know it's a give and take thing with marketing of your data, but I just can't get myself to use an external app that follows all my purchases.
wtf is that something that can be turned off?I dont care but I'm always a little suspicious of those things. Microsoft Edge has one built in and it always tries to sell you on buying from some dodgy site.
Yeah. I mean it was semi useful so I never looked how to turn it off before. It works the same way as that honey addon though. The pattern matching on all that stuff doesn't work very well though. Im usually looking for very specific items so "close" doesn't work. And probably defaults to the on position.
It's like how amazon search results are all over the place. They've got a long way to go.Yeah. I mean it was semi useful so I never looked how to turn it off before. It works the same way as that honey addon though. The pattern matching on all that stuff doesn't work very well though. Im usually looking for very specific items so "close" doesn't work.
Its totally give/take. They get the referral money of like 5% and you get a nice discount.I know it's a give and take thing with marketing of your data, but I just can't get myself to use an external app that follows all my purchases.
