For anyone who's been keeping score...

But he's just so much damn fun to watch.

he's also very charismatic and intelligent...he would change world opinion about the US overnight...mccain would just prolong our thuggish appearance which would be very bad

McCain would finish the fight rather than run like some liberal pussy. The last thing we need is to prove to the world AGAIN that we can be slow-bled to death.

uh, we're already there broheim
I think we should pull our troops out of everywhere and take care of our own damned country for once...fuck everyone else

There is no real fight to finish. We're now acting as their police force. You can't win when it's no longer the soldiers you're fighting but the everyday person. We can't prop up their government when it's such a drain on our own country.

we're like a retarded gf that can't take a hint and clings on...they punch us in the eye while suckling on our teat...it's a disgrace

Yeah, that doesn't work (see: WWII).

As moral Americans (or a country that wants to avoid blowback, take your pick), we HAVE to fix the country we destroyed. If not, we've just confounded our problems in the future.

1. We have emboldened, battle hardened terrorists who have proven that they can beat us. Guess what that means... Yay for more terrorist attacks!

2. We have destroyed the lives of 28 MILLION people. Think they may be a little upset and possibly able to do something about it down the road?

Yeah, leaving is a great idea. American short-sightedness strikes again!

we're supposed to give a flying fuck what the rest of the world thinks of us before running our country properly?

obama would fuck things up tremendously with his economic policies, his health care ideas and his foreign policy ideas are no better than hillary's, mccain's or even bush's

not to mention the anti-american sentiment coming from his wife and pastor

honestly at this point it should be up to the democratically elected government of iraq. they don't feel they can stabilize their own country by themselves. the moment they say GTFO we should GTFO, though

Way to buy into media hype (about his pastor anyway). First, it isn't him saying it, so who cares. Second, have you heard the man's speeches IN CONTEXT?

That has been the 'policy' since the start.

yes, easing world tension over our (for lack of better words) "war crimes" would go a long way towards getting ourselves back on track both globally and domestically

edit:and we all know presidents aren't really policy makers per se, the people they surround themselves with really drive that

Is being really bad at intelligence a war crime? And why should the Iraqi people be left in shambles for our mistake. Pottery Barn theory - we broke it, we buy it. Should we be there? No. But we are and we owe those people to at least leave it as good as we found it.

I have and they're still nutty. But those are just icing on the cake, they alone wouldn't turn me off on Obama.

His ideas and policies do that well enough on their own.

indeed

I didn't support this thing from day one, I thought it was stupid to pull resources from Afghanistan and send them to a country that was barely a threat in the first place.

Simply leaving when they're still requesting our help isn't the brightest idea; we did that once in the 80s with Afghanistan and it pissed off some dude named Osama :fly:

I don't see how. While easing world tension is a laudable goal it doesn't do much to get us back on track domestically and our domestic policy should be the top priority, not what the world thinks of us.

And war crimes? plz

and look who obama chooses to surround himself with :p

that's easy. is we leave sadr will become dictator. it'll be just like nothing ever happened.

If Obama gets the nomination, McCain will be president. If Hillary get the nomination McCain will still be president but by a much smaller margin. Obama will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for the Democrats as they are so infamous for doing.

Either way get ready for a John McCain presidency. Which given the alternatives is probably the best tasting turd sandwich of the bunch.

Where are you getting your information? Polls are showing that McCain would beat either Democrat, but Obama would lose by a smaller margin.

look at the states he's actually won. out of those, highly doubt alabama, alaska, georgia, idaho, kansas, nebraska, utah, wyoming or either of the carolinas or dakotas would go blue

Except that they don't want us there. They're happy we got rid of Saddam for them, but now they want to blow themselves up in peace without the US interfering. Sounds good to me. The US government (Bush, VP Devil) already look like international douchebags for going there in the first place, we won't look any worse if we pull out prematurely.
