I had a wonderful dish of Octopus with Romesco last week in Mexico, it was perfectly cooked.View attachment 17357
I watched a video a bit back about how you have to prep octopus so its actually good, and not just rubber bands.

Its essentially just involves beating it to death with a mallet until its nice and tenderized

i honestly get that, im fine with eating squid since theyre mean and dumb as rocks.

Octopuses doesnt sit quite right.

By the logic though, I should eat pork, since pigs are smart too

its not that they can't be eaten, but that they need to be harvested humanely. Not: beating it with a hammer until its dead.

I have a fever or something and need to go grocery shopping, but I have a fever or something and don't want to go out. Had 4 slices of cheddar earlier, but mostly I've just been making puddles of sweat while I sleep. Can't even think of what I would want to eat rn.

yeah but pigs are fuckin delicious
there's a pig farm just outside of the town I live in. we've been getting all of our pork stuff from them, it's amazing. didn't realize there was that much difference between mass produced pork and heritage raised. i can't really eat store pork chops anymore, they don't have a flavor.

I've been making cinnamon rolls forever and about a year ago started braiding them instead of rolling. no ragerts, the texture is better and it really stepped up the overall experience. moar layars of the filling and moar areas for the icing to soak into.

How's the smell? There's one not too far from where my mom lives. If the breeze is right in the summer, the smell is absolutely terrible.

legitimately didn't even know it was there. I've driven by it and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. maybe it's the difference between heritage type raising, they're on a pasture like cows instead of just chilling in filth
