According to this article (which I tried to link to this post) companies are automaticly not considering applicants for jobs if they aren't currently employed. I guess the reasoning is that these people aren't working because so something they did. Like for some reason it's my fault the powers-that-be decided to invest most of their money in ING. And of course when the market crashed they downsized the workers based on seniority, not performance. Well now I know why I get "thanks, but no thanks" responces when I submit my resume.
