bathroom, laundry room and bedroom... she gets to leave once a week to the grocery store, one time she went to the mall instead (she lost her bathroom privileges that day)

if that's it, the answer I usually give is it makes my life much more enjoyable, not necessarily the "belief" part but the rituals and rules that go with it ( the problem is without the belief, exceptions would be made which would weaken the rules and over time they wouldn't be rules anymore but "things we used to do")
