Hawt Casey Anthony - Not Guilty

I read a great article yesterday about the texting generation are slowly losing the ability to vocalize their ideas and read body language like other generations have. It went on to talk about the great pluses of all the social media and texting and the dangers of over use of it in your kids life and the need to force them to do person to person interaction a regular basis.
I know I write and post and FB status better than in real life communication. And this digital age I can't physically write anymore, either.

HAH Private school ftw (2-5th grade palmer method.) I had to practice handwriting until my fingers didn't work. I get compliments on it all the time when I have to fill out forms.

All of my forms are PDFs that are emailed as an attachment. digital anonymity > pretty handwriting

Most important forms/documents have to be notarized (you have to show ID) so it's really pointless to try to be anonymous. Not to mention they have your name on them.

that's cute. most of us have been in the workforce for a long time now though and personally speaking, I've barely had to use written word for the past 14 years.

I've had a job of one type or another since I was 11, that's 14 years too o_O Maybe it's the fact most of you are in IT... derrrrrr

derr is right. it was so obvious it didn't need to be said, dingus
So don't try to make it a universal. derrr Legible handwriting is essential in everything I do. Not being able to produce documentation could end you up in jail.

it is universal to anyone that's not a fucking scribe. the pen is dead.

I think the pen's role has changed drastically. Nothing formal is done in pen now. Not even school papers. I still use a pen to doodle at work when we are slow.

And I don't think anyone seriously takes notes on a laptop. That's just dumb to me.

 I do. I jote quick sentences down as the speaker is speaking and consolidate those "scribbles" to formal notes and meeting minutes.
