GAY This S@#$ has to stop

Tiresome or just you made yourself look like an ass?

I wonder.

Nope, I don't think I made an ass of myself. Of course people are gonna disagree with me but that's a different thing - I don't think I argued my point badly. By the way here's the quote I was referring to from you earlier in this thread - sounds like a bit more than self-defence to me;

You cannot be serious. If someone kicked my ass I'd kick their ass right back, no police would be called, no papers would be filed and that would be the end of it.

Only pussies don't think justice = blood.

Uh yeah so I said if someone kicked my ass I'd kick it back. Why would someone be calling the police (i..e the other guy) when they started it, and why would I when I'd proved my point?

Can you understand the words coming out of my mouth?

Let me guess though Phoenix....you're have very limited contact with the police and their procedures (or fucked up ones). Either that or your county runs 100% different to mine.

I can name numerous instances of people wanting the police to help and them either getting it wrong and blaming the victim, doing fuck all, never following it up and usually just not even turning up either way. Good luck with it though.

lol maybe it's just your use of English then - "kicking ass" and wanting "blood as justice" seem to imply something a bit stronger than protecting yourself to me.

Shit on a street where I grew up on the police actually advised DJB to sort the problem out himself because 'we can't prove anything'.

But sorting out the problem is not an invitation for retaliation with violence like you and others suggest.

You heathen

I try to avoid trouble in the first place, why do all your friends seem to have legal problems? Me thinks your hanging with the wrong element in the first place. Besides, phoenix is correct, cops and courts are the appropriate way to handle a problem in a civilized society. The ghetto culture is to tear shit down to get 'even'... And that's why trash stays trash.

I think we are missing the fact that violence shouldn't be happening between kids, even inside school doors, for the reason of simply being unchangeably different than another. It shouldn't be a question if you use self defense or not. It shouldn't even get that far to have to make that choice.

You are excusing the use of violence and blaming the victim for not fighting back because someone has performed physical harm to someone who has a trait that is immutable. This is akin to lynching and should not be tolerated at any level by any one. Certainly not excused by school teachers or in the case of the male cheerleader with the broken arm, his own mother.

Once you find a way to make every kid mature enough to act like an adult, you will get this. But, this will never happen because they are kids.

Okay case 1:

My ex boyfriend walks past a pub at 9pm where there is a gang of young males outside. They beat the crap out of him and his two friends (one of which is female). This is reported and statements made. One hour after this call is made the gang of youths go inside this pub and shoot people, but the police haven't even arrived by now. My ex's eye has permanent damage from a punch to it in this assault. Did anything happen with regard to convictions? No.

Case 2:

A co-workers husband is at home with her and their 2yr old daughter. Three men (his ex wifes brother + 2 friends) come to his door and beat the crap out of him. It's his word against theirs and the police try and convict HIM of it because the three guys all say that they came to his door innocently and he reacted violently (despite him being beaten up and them having not a bruise on them and his wife's phone call to the police as the assault is happening etc). Nothing happens to the three blokes.

Tell me how the police help, I'd love to hear it.

Like I said, perhaps police in other areas are fanastic, but in my city, with my life experience calling the police causes more problems than it solves.

Perhaps you think a court conviction makes you think justice is done. I'm pretty sure victims of violent crime, conviction or not, wish they had shed a bit of blood to make themselves feel better (i.e. justice had been done). Get it?

No but you can try. And if they are mature enough to have sex (not necessarily to raise a child, but at least to have sex) then they are certainly mature enough to realize people are different and to leave them alone, or certainly to NOT beat them up.

It doesn't take much effort to NOT beat someone up.

Considering it's psychologically proven (studies I've read, maybe polo could back me up) that both sexes do not appreciate consequences fully until they reach the age of 18 (psychological maturing) why would a 16 year old (i.e. age of sex) appreciate the effects of their actions/words?

That is your area and you are an exception.

I am in Houston, in a more ghetto part of Houston actually, and within 15 minutes two cop cars came by after a woman came to my door scared of violence against her went into hiding and called the police. No charges raised, nothing had actually happened, but the police showed up and took names and filed a report of sorts for the issue in case something does happen later.

In a town of 4.5 million.

In a part of town that isn't that great/safe anyway.

Your police contact is not universal.

checking out of thread. dbzeag, you're on crack, buddy <3

I know this is eons ago, but when you were in school, middle and high school, did you ever hit someone just for being annoying, bothersome, or just different? Physical violence, not verbal.

If not, is it so hard to wish more people were like you and NOT beat others up for any reason at all?

In my school, fighting was immediately grounds for suspension for a week with the option of expulsion depending on the level of violence. No exceptions.

You were not given the choice of disagreeing between other kids by your fists. You talked or you just ignored.
