So apparently I have a job offer for Sugar Land, TX, a suburb of Houston. Does anyone know of that area? Is there anything I need to be looking out for? Any good areas?

Well, if you need, youre always welcome to camp out at my place
As long as you promise not to rape the baby

edit - oh we have cats, Ill try to shave them for you, but Im not sure how that will work out

Unfortunately I need help with where to go for cheap but still safe and interesting apartments. Sugar Land the city looks really promising and I am excited, but unfortunately it is a bit pricy and they are not bumping my pay to take into account cost of living.

Well, depending on where I am Monday morning, we will see. From how it's sounding, I might be in Houston Monday morning and just stay there. Chim and the stuff would come later.

Unfortunately all of Sugarland is pretty expensive. If you go a little farther south of there (Richmond, Rosenberg) things are affordable but you are in the sticks. You can also try north of Sugarland which would put you in southwest Houston. The main issue will be how much of a commute you want and how you feel about sitting in traffic.

Woah, cool. Grats dude. Never eat seafood from the Houston Ship Channel or the Gulf of Mexico in that general area.
