Man, I wish this worked for me. If I don't clean every room every day the whole house is a mess. Granted that's just picking up, I only vacuum most of the house once a week (the family room usually gets it daily or every other day), and only scrub bathrooms once a week.
Yea, we "pick up" constantly but, as far as actual CLEANING, it really only needs it once a week.

I usually have to turn off the computer. If the computer isn't on, then I have to find other things to do to entertain myself and that's when I'll give in and turn to cleaning up and accomplishing things I need to do.
Like, how right now, we are moving by the end of the month and I've done squat to help further that and I'm posting on the computer instead of doing something productive.
Why are you guys moving?
So...since you were like 40?
Examine the lives of people your age who are very successful, realize how pathetic you are, ponder how close to death you are, and then say "Jesus Herbert Christ I need to get this show on the road. I'll start by scrubbing the 8-month old puddles of urine off the floor around the toilet." Then get distracted 5 minutes later by internet porn.

yeah so this is my thread. i hate cleaning. i have no schedule. i have no work hours or off hours. i'm a procrastinator. i'm a perfectionist. i am lazy. i make lists and more lists and keep them for weeks because i don't ever check much off. i have the computer on too much as well. all these things thunderstrike me daily to where i don't get much done. i've tried some things and they don't work, and here i am. if you figure something out, let me know. otherwise, cry with me and an open bottle of wine. we'll let the tears fall on all the shit piled up that we're sitting on top of.
Here are a couple of books I've read that help. None of them are one hundred percent effective but they do give you tools and ideas to try.
